This is a follow up post on how a recruitment website, should focus on candidates, by promoting Jobs on the homepage for job seekers to see easily and quickly – and of course apply for.
Hays.co.uk relaunched their website end of 2009 and the same format has been rolled out across most Hays websites across the world. Some country specific websites have their own unique style with Featured Jobs and Logos on homepages.
The websites are simple and smart, and promotes the good use of ‘white spaces’ in web design, hence making it clearer and easier to see things. White space allows for easier scanning of a website. It reduces the amount of text visitors see all at once and makes reading much easier.
Overall, it is a marked shift from a recruitment website to something closer to their own Job Board.
Mind you, Hays is not a job board. It is one of the world’s biggest Recruitment and HR companies with over 4,000 Hays consultants working across 32 specialist departments in 29 different countries.
Here is a screenshot of the Hays.co.uk and I managed to get that of Hays.ch (Hays Switzerland), which still has elements of the old Hays websites.
